Ameliorza does not make employment decisions for customer organizations and does not provide hidden behavioural profiles about learners.

Transaction, account, security, licence, access, and other service communications may still be sent where they are reasonably necessary to administer the relationship.
8. Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
Thinkific and related website technologies use cookies and similar technologies required for functions such as sign-in, security, session management, preferences, checkout, and site operation.
At launch, Ameliorza has not enabled Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, other optional advertising or marketing pixels, or custom analytics or conversion-tracking code on the Thinkific site.
If Ameliorza later enables optional analytics, advertising, or similar tracking technologies, this Privacy Policy and any required consent mechanism will be updated as appropriate.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website or learning environment from functioning correctly.
9. Service providers and disclosures
Ameliorza uses service providers to operate the business. Current services include:
Thinkific, which hosts the Ameliorza website, user accounts, learning environment, course activity, licence shells, and related platform functions.
Thinkific Payments and its payment-processing partners, which process online payments, refunds, transaction information, and payouts. Thinkific currently partners with Stripe in providing Thinkific Payments. Ameliorza does not store full payment-card numbers.
Google Workspace, which supports Ameliorza business email and related communications.
Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, which support business records, secure roster submission and administration, internal files, and customer-delivery operations.
Ameliorza may also use domain, security, professional-advisory, accessibility, and technical-support providers where reasonably necessary.
Service providers may receive only the information reasonably required for the services they perform.
Ameliorza may also disclose personal information where authorized or required by applicable law, where reasonably necessary to protect rights or security, investigate fraud or misuse, respond to a lawful process, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Thinkific’s current DPA identifies Thinkific as processor/service provider for creator-controlled personal data, and Thinkific Payments partners with Stripe for payment processing.
10. Processing in other jurisdictions
Some service providers may store or process personal information in jurisdictions other than the jurisdiction in which an individual or customer organization is located.
Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws and lawful-access requirements of that jurisdiction.
Ameliorza remains responsible for personal information under its control to the extent required by applicable law and uses reasonable contractual, technical, and operational safeguards appropriate to the circumstances.
Where applicable law requires additional notice, consent, contractual terms, or other measures for a particular transfer or customer arrangement, Ameliorza will address those requirements as appropriate.

Ameliorza retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to administer a customer relationship or licence, maintain required payment, access, security, support, and contractual records, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable law.
Financial and tax records are generally retained for at least six years from the end of the last tax year to which they relate, or longer where required. CRA currently requires business records to be retained for six years from the end of the last tax year to which they relate.
Learner, roster-administration, support, and operational records are deleted, anonymized, de-identified, or securely disposed of when they are no longer reasonably required, subject to applicable legal requirements and available platform controls.
12. Safeguards and privacy incidents
Ameliorza uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information under its control.
These include access controls, account security measures, multi-factor authentication where supported, secure roster-transfer procedures, and controlled business-record systems.
No information system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If a privacy incident occurs, Ameliorza will take reasonable steps to contain and assess it, preserve required records, reduce risk, and notify regulators or affected individuals where applicable law requires notification.
Alberta PIPA requires reporting where a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm.
13. Access, correction, and privacy requests
